Oxford Materials Characterisation Services 

OMCS was established in October 2002 as a point of contact for those wishing to access facilities and expertise within Oxford University Department of Materials. Facilities were augmented by the UK Technology Strategy Board's Micro Nano Technology programme with a range of equipment under the banner BegbrokeNano. BegbrokeNano is one of the 24 UK nanotech centres which were established under the previous Government to increase industry's ability to exploit micro and nanotechnology.  

Now operating without any direct government support BegbrokeNano continues to provide customers with services that they can rely on to complement their in-house capabilities.
